James Erwin, St. Louis Indie Bookstore Alliance member and co-owner of Main Street Books, greeted readers Saturday and signed copies of his new release, Guerrillas in Civil War Missouri (The History Press) at Main Street Books in historic St. Charles, Missouri.
We were happy to have the opportunity to stop in and chat a little bit with the author about his book. Don (pictured with Jim) is a longtime Civil War buff, so he was anxious to buy his own copy. Thanks to Jim for posing as he autographed the book.
You can order your own autographed copy from the Main Street Books website.
Jim will also be appearing at the U City Public Library in St. Louis at 7 pm on April 26. The event is sponsored by Subterranean Books. On April 17 at 7 pm, you can meet the author at Left Bank Books in St. Louis.
Don, a board member at St. Charles County Historical Society, promises to write his own review of Guerrillas in Civil War Missouri on this blog when he has finished reading the book. In the meantime, if you happen to find yourself in St. Charles soon, check out the Civil War display at the St. Charles County Historical Society, right down the street from Main Street Books.

This book sounds very itneresting.
Sounds like a fascinating book. Love the cover and the photos, too.
